Core Labor Policy Statement

CartonCraft Inc. – Saint Charles, Illinois I Effective: July 2026

CartonCraft Inc. is committed to upholding the fundamental rights of all workers, consistent with the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (1998), the FSC Core Labour Requirements (FSC-STD-40-004 v3-1 , clauses 1.5–1 .6 and 7.1–7.5), SFI 2022 §§8.2.4 and 8.2.6, PEFC ST 2002:2020 §4.10, and all applicable United States federal, Illinois state, and local laws. This policy applies to all CartonCraft operations and employees, and – through our written outsourcing agreements – to contractors performing outsourced processes on our certified products.

Our Commitments

1. No Child Labor

CartonCraft does not employ workers below the legal minimum age for employment. No person under the age of 1 8 performs hazardous work. Age is verified for every employee at hire through the federal Form 1-9 employment eligibility verification process.

2. No Forced or Compulsory Labor

All employment at CartonCraft is voluntary. We do not use forced, bonded, indentured, or compulsory labor of any kind. Employees are free to terminate employment in accordance with law; we do not withhold identity documents, require recruitment fees, or withhold earned wages as a condition of employment.

3. No Discrimination in Employment and Occupation

CartonCraft provides equal employment opportunity and makes all employment decisions – hiring, compensation, training, advancement, discipline, and termination – without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.

4. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

CartonCraft respects the right of all employees to form or join organizations of their own choosing and to bargain collectively, in accordance with the National Labor Relations Act. We do not interfere with, restrain, or retaliate against employees exercising these rights.

Implementation

This policy is published on the CartonCraft website, posted in the facility, and made available to all employees and interested stakeholders. It is implemented through our HR policies, employee handbook, annual training, required legal postings, annual SMETA 4-pillar self-audits (with third-party SMETA on-site audits when required), and the FSC Core Labour Requirements Self-Assessment submitted to SCS Global Services. Concerns may be raised to Human Resources or the Management Representative without fear of retaliation. This policy is reviewed annually.
