Once a month, a rotating group of CartonCraft employees volunteer to serve dinner to families who are staying at Ronald McDonald House in Winfield near Northwestern Medicine Central Dupage Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House provides lodging and meals to families free of charge, so that they can stay together and close to their sick child.
During the dinner, CartonCraft also sponsored the services of professional classical pianists—including Chris White, Dave Rice, and Jose Valdes—with hope to help offer a sense of comfort and relaxation to the pediatric patients as well as their caregivers.
Families are often at the house for one or two of our meals, and the CartonCraft team enjoys spending time with them and taking part in the Ronald McDonald House cause—assuring they have a warm and helpful stay away from home.
