On November 20, CartonCraft Executive Vice President, Tony Reyes had the pleasure to speak as a panelist at his alma mater West Chicago Community High Schools’s BPA Club. This event was organized and moderated by Dave Sabathne, President/CEO of the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce.
The event started with a networking breakfast where students got the opportunity to sit down and mingle with different entrepreneurs from local businesses and several members of the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce to work on building connections and enjoy dialogue.
After breakfast all the members moved to the auditorium, as more students and staff joined. They were asked questions about their businesses and experience such as what risks were taken to become successful, how their biggest challenge was overcome, and what is the most exciting part about being an entrepreneur.
At the conclusion of the panel discussion members of Business Professionals of America got to ask some of their own questions and gain insight and knowledge about the importance of building a network and how to manage risk in pursuit of success. The goal for this event was for students to understand first-hand what entrepreneurship is and the skills that it takes to be successful.
