Earth Day is observed each year on April 22 as a reminder to reflect on our relationship with the natural world and the steps we can take to protect it. At CartonCraft, we believe that commitment extends well beyond a single day on the calendar. It shows up in how we source materials, how we operate our facilities, how we manage waste, and how we show up in our community.
CartonCraft holds FSC® and SFI® certifications, meaning the paperboard we use comes from responsibly managed forests where harvesting practices are designed to support long-term forest health and reforestation. Trees are replanted as part of the cycle, ensuring that forests continue to grow and thrive for future generations.
Energy efficiency is an ongoing priority across our operations. We are also in the process of incorporating electric vehicles into our fleet, a step toward reducing the emissions tied to our day-to-day logistics.
We are working toward a zero waste to landfill goal across the organization. It is a long-term commitment, and we make progress by consistently looking for ways to recycle, recover, and responsibly divert materials before they reach a landfill.
CartonCraft is also proud to hold an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, an independent recognition of our sustainability practices across environmental impact, ethics, labor, and supply chain responsibility. It is one way we hold ourselves accountable beyond our own walls.
Our sense of responsibility extends into the community as well. CartonCraft sponsors a garden at the Ronald McDonald House in Winfield, Illinois, providing a peaceful green space for families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We also participate in local city clean-up efforts, contributing time and hands to keeping our community clean and cared for.
We are a manufacturing company, and we use resources every day to do what we do. What we are committed to is using those resources wisely, improving continuously, and being a good steward of the environment and the community around us. Earth Day is a meaningful reminder of that responsibility, and one we take seriously year-round.
If your brand is looking for a packaging partner who takes sustainability as seriously as you do, we would love to connect. Contact us today to learn how CartonCraft can support your packaging needs with integrity.
