Charlie Brown Christmas Event at Ronald McDonald House: Bringing Joy Through Music

This holiday season, CartonCraft brought joy, music, and the timeless magic of a Charlie Brown Christmas to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Chicago. On December 17th, we hosted a special lunchtime event that combined the beloved traditions of the holiday season with a Charlie Brown Christmas concert performed by The Chris White Trio & Choir. Volunteers prepared lunch for families, wrapped gifts and decorated cookies, bringing warmth and community to the Ronald McDonald House at Lurie Children’s Hospital

CartonCraft is a proud member of the Ronald McDonald House Global Giving Collective (RGGC), a network of McDonald’s suppliers working together to support families during healthcare journeys. Our holiday event brought together local McDonald’s franchisees, corporate representatives, and community partners, with catering by Pasta Via.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families with children receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals. It’s a place where families can find comfort, community, and support during their healthcare journey. Our event celebrated the incredible work of Ronald McDonald House by bringing holiday magic, beautiful music, and joyful moments to the families they serve.

The house offers more than accommodation. It creates a supportive community where families can connect with others facing similar challenges. This allows parents to focus on their child’s treatment and recovery.

The global collective impact:

  • 1.6 million families served
  • 7.7 million overnight stays provided
  • $2 billion saved in lodging and food expenses

There are many ways to support Ronald McDonald House Chicago’s mission. You can make a financial contribution of any amount at ronaldmcdonaldhousechicago.org/pleasegive.
